Battle Launches Royal Caribbean Productions Website

Ahoy. Probably one of the last things you would expect to do on a big boat is enjoy a Broadway-caliber production of Chicago or Hairspray. Well, on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCI), you should expect the unexpected. When the South Florida swashbucklers do anything, they do it big, they do it well, and they do it with gusto. And, when it came time to refresh their onboard entertainment website they not only did it with gusto, they did it with Battle.

Battle works with organizations throughout the Royal Caribbean family, and has worked with Royal Caribbean Productions (RCP) since 2002. RCP is responsible for producing every ounce of the award-winning entertainment onboard RCI’s fleet of over 30 ships. They manage an army of performers and technicians and pump out theatrical pyrotechnics that reap industry accolades year-after-year. The RCP website has long been a valuable recruitment tool and a showcase for onboard shows and keeping content current and on-brand is a must.

The latest website iteration comes packaged with show video, audition alerts, a super duper CMS, and a much, much needed alignment with the corporate brand.

As always, we remain honored to play stowaway on RCI’s fantastic voyage. Check out the site at royalcaribbeanproductions.com

Animation of the Seas

Imagine you’re on a fantastic Royal Caribbean cruise ship – soaking in the sun poolside and pondering the countless recreational opportunities onboard. You can try your luck at a hand of blackjack in the casino. Enjoy a glass of Caymus at the wine bar. Go ice-skating. Play golf. Hmmm. How about attending a lecture series on the corporate history of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines? Screech. OK, we can almost see your brain atrophying.

So, how do you make history sizzle? Animate it. “The Royal Story” is a lecture series that provides cruise guests with an inside look at Royal Caribbean International; its early years, steady climb to industry prominence, and its vision for the future. The “Royal Story” is actually interesting in its own right, but when set against a background of Battle animation magic, it’s damn near entertaining.

Team Battle recently braved the open seas onboard Enchantment of the Seas to work with RCI’s team of presenters and techies to install the first in a series of Battle-created animation walls for the lecture series. Apart from it looking visually stunning, initial guests seem incredibly engaged, walking away impressed and dripping with yummy RCI knowledge.

Jordan Taylor – Intern of the Month

Jordan Taylor – Intern of the Month

Let’s just get it over with and call him Intern of the Year. The wonderfully talented and even-keeled Jordan Taylor has graced the halls of Battle for the last 30 days and despite earning less than a mall barista, has managed to contribute in a deeply meaningful way, knocking out winning creative for client pitches, providing essential support for high profile client work, and putting the finishing touches on our Battle holiday video.

Battle is Jordan’s latest stop in a parade of internships at other great shops like Troika, The Mill, and Psyop, and if we could, we would hire him today. But, alas, he is committed to graduating from SCAD.  C’mon Jordan – who needs a degree when you have a Jay-Oh-Bee?  Kidding aside, thanks Jordan for reigniting our faith in the internship process. And, when you graduate: Make sure to hug your mom, then immediately call 561-395-1555 and let us know when you’re ready to start.
